Electrics

I've been thinking about options for the electrical system (12v) and been looking at multiplex systems such as Empirbus. One of the side effects of doing this was to actually sit down and pencil in all the lights, pumps switches etc. I thought I might need.

Snow

Its snowing in London right now and looks to get worse before it gets better. This and watching 'Revolutionary Road' has inspired Mary to write a little more about her view of Misterton......a little message for a cold winters night.

Cold

Not a lot has been going on in the last few weeks from our point of view. We're not going up to see Misterton until mid-February, as the cold weather means there isn't that much that can be done.

I've amused myself in the meantime by scheming and buying stuff off eBay. I also found this old picture given to us by Andy at the Maritime Museum at Goole a while back. Its been tucked into a pile of papers in my laptop bag. Click on the picture for a bigger version, but not a better one ;-)

January

Mary and I went up to Goole this weekend, not so much in the hope of doing any work, but just to see how Misterton was. There have been a few things done, the holes have been cut out for our four new portholes, and two of them have been fitted. Here is an inside and outside view.

The wheelhouse roof has also come on, there are three sections, designed to be removable (the windows can then fold down if we need to go underneath a low bridge). A couple of views here.....

The fuel tank has had a section cut out of it to allow a companionway to be built from the wheelhouse to the inside. The picture is a bit blurry due to the smoke from the stove. :)

We also had the chance to catch up with quite a few people in Goole which was great, and although it was cold the weather was nice and sunny. Interestingly Alan (the boatbuilder) was working on his tug boat in the drydock, an unusual view of something that normally floats.
